The suspension of registration granted to Cooperative Insurance Company PLC and Cooplife Insurance Limited to carry on insurance businesses with effect from 11th April 2023, has been further extended till 30th June 2023, in terms of Section 18 (4) (b) of the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act, No. 43 of 2000, without prejudice to their responsibilities to meet the obligations under the policies already issued/ underwritten.
